Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett and City County-Council President Vop Osili joined 16 Tech Community Corporation, Browning-Davis, and Patrium to celebrate the construction completion of Innovation Building 1 and Gent Avenue in the 16 Tech Innovation District, the $500 million, 50-acre district in downtown Indianapolis.

Luis Gómez, President of Patrium, spoke about Patrium’s involvement in the construction of Innovation Building 1, the first project with Browning and 16 Tech.
He expressed that the Browning-Davis team’s “commitment to outreach exemplifies what the 16 Tech Innovation district will accomplish in Indianapolis: forward-thinking and community-building.” He reminisced, “Long before establishing Patrium, my brother and I went to Arsenal Technical High School, about 10 minutes from here. It was in their Architectural and Design Program where the seed was planted that led us down a path of professional construction and here before you all today.” He remarked that “when we build in this district, we’re building in our backyard.”

Steve Sandoval Hernández, Vice President of Patrium, reiterated, “We appreciate that the Browning-Davis team values communication and the importance of diverse voices. Through that teamwork, we were able to start the project early and push forward aggressively.” He observed that “if all lasting business is built on friendship, then 16 Tech is off to a great start.”
