We represented a family-owned, multi-generational business in the petition for variance of use at the Metropolitan Board of Zoning Appeals of Marion County, Indiana.
Our client was being compelled to close their doors indefinitely because of specific commitments to a 20+ year-old variance, as well as city code violations that had not been properly resolved. This would have resulted in lost sales and income in accounts receivable, lost production already on a tight schedule, and devastating employee turnover.
From the extensive research to compiling of the exhibits and/or addenda, land development petitions can be daunting to a small business owner. We were able to successfully petition for variance of use modification while maintaining our client’s doors opened.
